Hardfacing workforce alloys contain as base elements cork & tile trivets typically iron, nickel, or cobalt, to which saws metallurgists add varying amounts of carbon, chromium, molybdenum, tungsten, silicon, manganese, vanadium, and boron. to raise workforce hardness, the primary property for wear resistance, alloy designers add elements that either tile form hard constituents (carbides, borides, or laves phase), or that strengthen the matrix by going into solid solution. carbon content determines toughness and abrasion resistance--as carbon rises, abrasion resistance increases and toughness drops. chromium forms carbides, increases corrosion resistance, and adds high-temperature strength. saws tungsten, a potent carbide former, also boosts high temperature strength, as does cobalt. tougheners include nickel and manganese. boron forms hard wear-resistance borides.

however, workforce because not all hydrants appear accurately on department maps, the real purpose of the exercise is sometimes to familiarize tile firefighters with hydrant locations. data collected by the system is fed into the fire department''s preplan software to help with fire suppression saws scenarios. the data also is used by public works to identify hydrants that may be out of service for line repairs. that information is relayed to dispatchers workforce so that the preplan scenarios can be updated automatically by fire department software.

cow comfortcow comfort was the goal when terry timmons (pictured below) built a new free stall barn on his dairy farm near loudonville, ohio. timmons and his father milk 200 head of registered tile holsteins. larger stalls with more "lunge space" in the front help their cows get up and down easier now, says timmons. their old barn, built in the 1970s, had small stalls that were closed in the front. the new stalls were made locally by stein-way equipment in apple creek, ohio. the bedding is sand.the barn was built in august 2001 for $500 a stall, including electricity and water. timmons says the investment has already saws paid off in better cow health.
